We
would like to share all the wonderful comments we receive
from fellow breeders, judges, veterinarians and, most
importantly, owners of our pets, show dogs and companions, but time and
space don't permit it. We truly appreciate them all.
...It's hard to believe our sweet little Chewbacca turned 1 year old
today. He's been such a wonderful addition to our family. He has
the best temperament and gets along so well with all of the neighborhood
kids. Everyone comments about what a handsome and well mannered dog he
is. Before we got Chewie, Taffy was overweight and suffering from
liver issues. Now her weight is where it should be, and her liver is
back to normal. She needed some minor surgery a year ago, and the vet
wouldn't perform it. He said she wasn't healthy enough. She is
doing so well, that the surgery is now scheduled for this coming Thursday.
...Riley is our second cairn from Blair Hillâ¦he is
extremely smart, beautiful, and Scooby (his uncle) â they are best buddies!
...Graycee turned 5 on December 16th.
I can't believe she's already is 5 years old!...She hasn't changed
much since she became full grown. She is a happy healthy dog who loves her family, and we
love her too much.
...I wanted to sincerely thank you for all the help you
gave my family in adopting our little guy "Scooby."
Not only is he absolutely beautiful...he's extremely smart and has
blended very nicely with our other Cairn.
We would highly recommend Blair Hill to anyone wishing to bring a
little one into your family or any of their seasoned dogs.
They are obviously well cared for, and love being around
others...he's exactly what I was looking for...Simply put...he's got my
heart! Very cool little dude.
And yes...he is full of himself...(I figure if you don't like
yourself, how can you like anyone else.)
...He has become a very beautiful dog. He is mostly silver with a dark
face and reddish whiskers. He was groomed last week and looks like a puppy
again. I have at least 4 photos of him in my office and everyone loves
them. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank you for letting him
into our lives. I don't think I have ever owned such a wonderful animal.
...[our Blair Hill puppy] is doing wonderful and we really love him...
We took him to our vet on Monday and he checked out in excellent health.
She made the comment that it looked like we had done a good job finding an
excellent breeder and I think that is true... He has done such a good job of
winning us over that I am already lobbying for another one in a few years.
...Two years ago I called you because we had bought a 10-month old
Cairn pup that had been kenneled for 23 hours a day -- my husband and I
were at our wit's end! Brodie was not house broken and he had dominance
issues. You spent a long time on the phone with me and then another long
call with [my husband]. Because you helped us we now have a very special dog
and we appreciate what you did for us
...When we lost [our Blair Hill Cairn] my husband and I were
devastated. After going through the grieving process for several weeks, we
knew the only thing we wanted was another Blair Hill Cairn. At the time that
we called, there was a 4 month old female and a 2 year old adult female
available. We weren't sure an adult was what we really wanted and were
worried about being able to bond with an older dog. The entire time we were
looking at the puppy, there was the most beautiful little face looking
through the glass door from the outside. It was Julie, the 2 year old. From
the minute we met Julie, it was love at first site. Julie immediately
attached to both of us and never once did we have any problems with bonding.
Today, she is our sweet, naughty little princess "Jewels". For all of those
out there looking for a new family member, don't overlook the older ones.
You will never regret it. Blair Hill Cairns are filled with love and
affection. They will quickly win their way into your heart and will provide
you with many years of companionship. Owning a Blair Hill Cairn will be one
of the most rewarding things you will ever do for yourself and your family.

...This note is long overdue, but I still want to thank you for your
very informative web site; for talking to me for nearly an hour in November
about the Cairn breed; and for graciously referring me to [another
responsible breeder] who had a 3 year old adult male available for
placement. We acquired the adult male just after Christmas, and he has been
the most perfect family pet we could ever imagine. I now understand some of
the comments that are attributed to Cairn owners...Thanks for the generosity
with your time, and your knowledge.
