A bath for your Cairn
An adult Cairn that is hand-stripped, which preserves the natural
harshness and repellent properties of the coat, does not need a full soap
and water more often than every six months. A waterless shampoo can be used
as often as two or three times a week for in-between cleanups. We
recommend: SUPER BLUE
PLUS™ Waterless Shampoo or equivalent. Cairns that are groomed using
clippers or scissors can be bathed more often but each bath should be
followed by a ten-minute rinse under warm water. This ensures all soap is
rinsed clean and re-hydrates the skin. Ask your groomer to make sure to do
so.
