Our Story

We purchased our first show Cairn in 1977. Kim-E-Cairn's Poor Alfie, a
handsome dark brindle who came from a long line of top champion producers.
His sire was the all-time top champion producer in the history of the breed,
Ch Cairnwood's Quince.

In 1985 we bought the lovely Ch Kim-E-Cairn's Hurricane Annie at 10
weeks. At her first show at just 6 months she stole the hearts of the
judges, as she had stolen ours at first sight, and was awarded Best in
Sweepstakes and Reserve Winners. She went on to acquire many memorable wins
including Best Veteran at the Cairn Terrier Club of America national
specialty show at 9 years of age. Annie left us at 15
years and we still miss her very much.

When she grew up she was bred to Alfie (then 9-1/2 years old) and had
four boys. Since we wanted a girl, we repeated the breeding. It was in
Annie's second litter the devious little Ch Blair Hill Hurricane Emily came
on the scene. Emily too has many special wins, among them Best Puppy at the
Cairn Terrier Club of America national specialty. Emily, at 15 years, was
just as naughty and tireless a ball-fanatic as she was at 15 months.
